At the heart of this recent addition to the Barcelona hostel scene, is a strongly community and social ethos. Run by a family with many years of experience in the industry, Albareda offers a calm little refuge on the busy Paral-lel. As the hostel tries to set itself apart from the popular ‘party’ hostels, it tends to be more welcoming to the kind of backpacker who is looking to appreciate the cultural and historical side of the city.
