Almazen is a cultural project focussing on a wide range of performance arts from theatre and comedy to dance and puppetry.  The venture is run by the cultural association La Ciutat de las Paraules who have been building a platform for cultural and artistic exchanges in Raval since 1999.  The unique space presents artist of all backgrounds with the opportunity to create, experiment with and eventually exhibit their work.

The theatre is located at the back of the Almazen building and can be accessed through the relaxed and informal bar.  A buzz usually fills the air in the bar after performances as a healthy crowd linger and the music starts.
