The Filmoteca de Cataluña was established in 1981 and is dedicated to the preservation of film and documentary. The project is widely respected for its influence in today’s film sector. From time to time you’ll find not only film screenings, but seminars, workshops and other educational endeavours, which work with the aim to preserve the creativity of filmmaking.
The cinema projects films onto two separate screens, normally three times a day. Each film generally has a small projection period off two occasions only, and works in this way to get the most out of the wide variety of films available. Each film is shown in original language and be sure to check out their listings online to avoid disappointment.
