Founded in 2002 as a private non-profit organisation, Fundacio Foto Colectania’s aim of promoting photography in Barcelona has been a hit among locals.

Through the encouraging and collecting of photography, the foundation has managed to put on countless exhibitions and activities, as well as issue their own catalogue editions. Aside from the wide range of exhibiting artists, the open plan gallery houses more than 2,000 works of Spanish and Portuguese photographers. Furthermore, it has a library with free access to the public and a conservation vault, where the photography collection is stored.
