Inspired by their personal travelling experience, this young group opened the Mambo Tango hostel on the edge of Poble Sec. Here, backpackers will find everything they need in a relaxed and social atmosphere. A large, communal area with long tables can accommodate all the guests providing a place to meet up and have a drink at the bar. The owners stress the importance of respect for other visitors and keep the place under control, operating low tolerance rules on heavy drinking.

Included in the nightly tariff are a continental breakfast, internet access and fresh bed linen. Guests can also take advantage of the hostel’s tour desk, library exchange and luggage storage room. The dorms are large and simple, with personal lockers next to each bed and the wonderful luxury of individual reading lamps avoiding unnecessary disturbances to the whole room.
