Mau Mau is an exclusive little lounge-bar ideal for warming up for a big night next door at the Apolo or cooling off after spending yourself completely on the club’s dance floor. Set inside an old warehouse, the bar has a nice open feel, with plenty of comfortable seating options spread out over the expansive space. The decor is blunt and simple with no time wasted on too much detail. The minimal wall decoration is compensated for by simple light projections and the occasional movie screening.

The ‘exclusivity’ is no real problem as membership is open. The membership cards can come in useful to residents, with discounts available at a number of cinemas, galleries and clubs. The bar attracts a trendy, artistic crowd due to its location on the edge of Poble Sec and its close proximity to one of the more popular clubs on that side of town.
