Read more: Milenium is a cafe come grocer with a bizarre location in the fading ex-industrial zone between Parc Citiadella and the busy Rambla de Poble Nou. The cafe specialises in whole food produce and quality drinks. On the reasonably priced menu del dia you will find predominantly healthy options such as salads and the odd platter of beef or pork carpaccio.

Inside the cafe, the decor is dimly lit but with a warm feel. Wooden counters and rustic furniture reflect the slow-food ethos of the place. If the fresh fruit on display as you walk in doesn’t encourage you to order one of the many juices on the menu then order from a choice of aromatic teas on offer.
