It’s not the pot that cooks the pancake, but the frying pan. This strangely named crêpe house (Olla means pot in English), is probably the most charming establishment in Gracia. Tracing the classic imagery of a grandmother’s kitchen in pre-war Spain; the unique setting of wooden tables and white with red tablecloths is a great hide out for sweet toothed visitors.

With two floors, in a small, hard to fit nature, Olla del Torrent applys the theory that small defiantly means more. And keeping it sweet and simple, only expect to taste the warm, buttery texture of the most classic pancakes, from the most humble of kitchens. Take your choice of either sweet or savory fillings, however chef Josep Antoni, swears by the house specialty of chocolate and nuts, and if that’s not pleasing enough, one of their milkshakes is sure to put a smile on your fulfilled face.
