If you are looking for something a little bit different, then step under the neon blue sign of Rita Blue and into the warmly lit restaurant just a short stroll from Las Ramblas. The unusual mix of Mediterranean, Mexican and Eastern dishes served in a kitschy, almost retro-decorated environment, lends the combined bar and restaurant an element of individuality amongst the ample dining options in the area.

Due to its location, the place can get busy relatively quickly. However, the crowds usually bring a vibrant and positive atmosphere to the bar and if it’s all too much then there are tables outside on the buzzing Plaça Sant Agustí – perfect for a slow cocktail or two. Regular DJs play on rotation in the bar and normally keep the proceedings lively until the early hours.
