Forget gigantic music institutions, if you’re looking for an intimate club with an unbreakable edge, BeCool is a strong contender amid the range of discothèques in Barcelona.

Despite the bold declaration above the door, you by no means have to be of superior calibre to enter. The entry fee isn’t cheap but does include a complimentary drink. Expect live action from world recognised Djs and bands from Thursday to Sunday, who keep a tight leash around the intimate dance floor. If you want to avoid the regular concoction of house, techno and electro which normally plays out downstairs, then take your strut up to the classic indie disco, situated on the top floor. Past acts include Lindstrom, Legowelt, Shit Robot and Daniel Wang.
