Approaching Wok Yutaka for its famous lunch buffet might seem daunting, as crowds of people queue in anticipation. But one glance through the window and you’ll find yourself magnetised to the back of the queue. If sushi is not your thing don’t let that put you off. The cold counter is littered with salad and vegetable appetisers, the hot counter with spring rolls, chicken bites, noodles and the like. Let’s not forget the richly coloured desert gallery which can graciously fulfil your afternoon peckishness.

The one thing that sets this restaurant aside from others however, is the slow roasted meat section offering you a variety of slowly cooked tender fare and sauces to suit. But top of the list, is the ‘cooked to your taste’ kitchen whereby you collect a plate of cold vegetables and seafood for the chefs to heat on their hot plates. This buffet does not include a drink but regardless it’s still the cheapest in the city. Arrive before 1.30pm or prepare to build your hunger; although seating is plenty, the customer numbers are higher.
